HH Meets with UK Investment Institution

This afternoon, we met the British International Investment in London, who were represented by their CEO Mr Nick O’Donohoe. We discussed several issues around their investment in Zambia of over $100 million.

We assured them that their investments are safe as we continue providing an enabling environment for private sector to thrive through policy consistency that will promote economic growth. We also informed them that we are looking for mutually beneficial partnerships based on common values and interests for the people of the Zambia and the UK.

BII are interested in deepening their footprint in Zambia by investing in areas such as agriculture, energy and financing especially financial products that serve the needs of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

We remain committed to attract more investment in Zambia and will continue these meetings with willing partners such as BII. Zambians need opportunities, jobs and social services. These will only be achieved if we create partnerships both locally and internationally.
