The ‘Transform Africa Summit’

It was a pleasure to participate in this year's 'Transform Africa Summit' in Zimbabwe, where we called on African countries to embrace technological innovations across various sectors for enhanced trade and investment opportunities.

Our message to the delegates drawn from over 100 countries was to set our ambitions higher in the technology sector, with the aim of increasing productivity and creating more jobs, particularly for our young people in the continent.

Harmonizing our legislation and technological platforms in Africa is also crucial to facilitate market sharing and the movement of people and goods, while maintaining security.

Harmonized digital platforms will also make it easier for joint public-private ventures among our citizens to do business.

We also called on our education systems to adopt early learning in technological and digital platforms so that our citizens can benefit from these skills from a young age.

We urged participants to network among themselves and deliberate fully, as we aim to implement resolutions of such conferences and make real progress for the continent.
